Save Earth Society Free Medical Camp Serves 200 in Dawneshwar Village

In a country where healthcare disparities remain a stark reality, the Save Earth Society continues to stand at the forefront of meaningful change. On 26 July 2025, the organization partnered with Model Hospital & Trauma Center to bring a free medical camp to the remote community of Dawneshwar Village, reaching over 200 villagers with life-saving health services.

Held at Dawneshwar High School, the camp offered a vital lifeline for people with limited or no access to primary medical care. The initiative provided general health check-ups, consultations, blood pressure screening, diabetes tests, blood grouping, and essential prescriptions—all at no cost.

This wasn’t just about treating symptoms—it was about restoring dignity, building awareness, and reinforcing that health is a human right, not a privilege.

A Day of Healing, Dignity, and Awareness

From early morning, villagers of all ages began gathering at Dawneshwar High School, some walking miles under the summer sun to reach the venue. For many, this was the first formal medical consultation they had received in years—a sobering reminder of how distant healthcare still is for rural Bangladesh.

The camp was staffed by a team of dedicated physicians, nurses, and volunteers from Model Hospital & Trauma Center, who generously gave their time and expertise. Each patient was registered, assessed, and received one-on-one consultations. Diagnoses ranged from general fatigue and untreated infections to unmanaged chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

Many patients expressed gratitude not only for the care but also for the respect and attention they received. For them, this wasn’t merely a clinic—it was a moment of being seen, heard, and valued.

“The doctor listened to my problems patiently. I’ve had chest pain for months, and this is the first time someone took it seriously,” shared Fatema Begum, a 60-year-old resident who also learned she was pre-diabetic.

The team also provided health education to increase awareness about hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention—especially critical in communities where misinformation and lack of access to knowledge can worsen preventable illnesses.

Save Earth Society Reinforces Its Commitment to Holistic Development

The success of the Free Medical Camp was not just due to logistics or numbers, but because of a deep-rooted commitment to inclusive development. For Save Earth Society, health is a core pillar of community resilience—a belief that true environmental and social change cannot happen unless people are well, informed, and empowered.

“Our motto has always been: people first. Health is not separate from the environment or education. When people are healthy, communities thrive—socially, economically, and spiritually,” said Mohammad Imran, a representative of Save Earth Society.

This initiative is part of the organization’s larger vision to promote eco-social justice, where underserved populations have access to all essential services—from clean water and sanitation to education, food security, and healthcare.

Importantly, the camp was not a one-off gesture. Follow-up plans are underway to conduct more such camps in other remote areas, as well as initiate referral support for patients who require ongoing treatment.

By partnering with organizations like Model Hospital & Trauma Center, Save Earth Society is building a bridge between urban healthcare excellence and rural need, proving that innovation in healthcare doesn't always require high-tech—sometimes, it just needs heart, hands, and a shared purpose.

What the Community Had to Say

“We often suffer in silence because there’s no one to listen. Today, we felt important.” – Rahman Ali, 42

“I found out I have high blood pressure. Without this camp, I wouldn’t have known until it was too late.” – Jamila Khatun, 35

“This should happen every few months. Not everyone can go to the city for a check-up.” – Sajjad Hossain, 27

These testimonies highlight the unmet healthcare needs that persist in rural regions and how simple, targeted interventions can transform lives.

Health Equity Starts With Us

As the day came to a close, one thing became clear: access to healthcare must not be a matter of geography or wealth. The success of this medical camp is a powerful reminder that collaboration, community trust, and compassion can pave the way toward health equity in Bangladesh.

We invite other NGOs, health institutions, and concerned citizens to join this movement. Together, we can ensure that no person—regardless of where they are born—is left behind in the pursuit of health and well-being.
